A road report has been issued this morning, Monday 16 March. Quilpie-Thargomindah Road remains closed at South Comongin as do a number of other roads. Please check the road report before travelling.
Following discussions with the Eromanga community, Landscape Architecture firm, CUSP, have been engaged by Council to develop a masterplan for the township.
To start the process CUSP Landscape Architects will be staying in Eromanga for 2 nights and meeting with interested community members to gather ideas and thoughts this coming Tuesday 17 March.
All residents are invited to attend an open workshop at the Eromanga Hall from 3pm until 6pm on Tuesday. Additional workshops for key stakeholders will also be held. The latest road report has been issued at 8.20am today, Wednesday 11 March 2020. The Quilpie-Thargomindah and the Adavale-Blackall Roads remain closed as do a large number of shire roads. Please check road reports before travelling.
Road report issued at 11.00am Tuesday 10 March 2020. Please be advised that the Quilpie-Charleville road at the Quilpie bridge is now open, however the road is closed at the Ward and Warrego Rivers. Many other roads remain closed. Check reports and neighbouring council road conditions before travelling.
**UPDATED FROM 7.10AM** The latest Quilpie Shire road report was issued at 7.50am this morning, Tuesday 10 March 2020. The Quilpie – Charleville Road is closed at both the Quilpie bridge (awaiting inspection) and at the Ward and Warrego Rivers in the Charleville area.
Quilpie-Thargomindah remains closed, Adavale Black and Red Roads, Kyabra, Trinidad and a number of other roads are all closed. Please check road reports (including neighbouring shires) before travelling.
We have been advised that the Department of Transport and Main Roads will not allow the Quilpie bridge on the Quilpie Charlevile Road to reopen until an officer from the Department has inspected the bridge for safety. He is travelling from Toowoomba and is not expected to arrive until mid tomorrow morning at the earliest.

The latest road report has been issued at 10.30am today, Monday 09 March 2020. There are a significant number of roads that remain closed or restricted to 4WD / high clearance so please ensure you check the report before travelling. If you are travelling out of the shire area ensure you check conditions in neighbouring council areas (phone numbers on the bottom of the report).
Please note the Quilpie Charleville Road is CLOSED with 0.35m over the Quilpie Bridge and rising.
