Rates are levied on properties to help finance the provision of Council services throughout the Shire. Rates are issued twice yearly for the periods from 01 January to 30 June and 01 July to 31 December. Quilpie Shire uses differential rating categories to ensure a more equitable basis for the distribution
of general rates.
Rates are now overdue on all categories with exception to Rural Landowners on categories 6, 8, 9 and 10.
