The successful applicants will possess demonstrated skills in garden maintenance, use of small plant and minor repairs and maintenance.

Mandatory Requirements

•  Minimum current MR class Queensland drivers’ licence (or be willing to obtain);
•  Aptitude for gardening and plant care;
•  Demonstrated skills in the use of small plant and machinery;
•  Understanding of PPE compliance issues and use of appropriate PPE at all times;
•  Fitness to undertake regular manual labour work;
•  Current General Construction Induction Card; and
•  Current Tetanus, Hepatitis A and B immunisations (or willing to obtain).

Desirable Requirements

•  Formal qualifications in relevant field;
•  Current HR class Queensland drivers’ licence (or willing to obtain);
•  Appropriate tickets for medium size plant and machinery; and
•  Knowledge and/or experience in the maintenance of plants, sports fields, landscaping, tree planting and pruning.

Council is seeking an experienced Executive Officer to work with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to ensure the provision and coordination of key governance, compliance and service delivery functions associated with the elected Council’s decision making, Office of the CEO and organisational planning and performance.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the role will be responsible for contributing to the preparation of legislatively compliant strategic publications in addition to implementing whole of organisation communication initiatives.
