Our regions may still be impacted by the wet season. Now is the time to ensure you have photographed evidence of damage from 2025 Western Queensland floods to support your application to the Exclusions Fencing Recovery Program (EFRG). Landowners in Balonne, Bulloo, Murweh, Paroo and Quilpie can apply for up to $500,000 in assistance to repair & or replace damaged exclusion fencing.

Ensure your photos include date and location/GPS coordinates. To learn more about the EFRG and how to adjust your camera settings on your mobile phone visit Exclusion Fencing Recovery Grants | Quilpie Shire Council

This program is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).

Landowners from five council areas can apply for funding through the Exclusions Fencing Recovery Program (EFRG). Assistance is available to eligible landowners in Balonne, Bulloo, Murweh, Paroo and Quilpie through the EFRG program, being delivered by Quilpie Shire Council.

You may not have applied for funding, assuming you won’t be eligible. If you are a landowner impacted (even if the impact seems minor) by the 2025 Western Queensland floods give us the opportunity to help you apply for up to $500,000 in assistance to repair damaged exclusion fencing.

Start the conversation with a simple Expression of Interest email to EFRG@quilpie.qld.gov.au. Our Project Officer Maree Tulley is ready to answer your questions and support you in the application process. Expressions of Interest are due 31 March 2026, with full applications due 30 April.
