Permanent Part Time
$30.69 per hour to $34.10 per hour, plus superannuation and allowances
4pm Tuesday 11 February 2025
Are you passionate about Tourism and enjoy interacting with people? Join our team at the Visitor Information Centre to promote the attractions throughout the shire to visitors of the region. This is a part-time role with seasonal hours reflecting the peak visitor season of March through October, with the ideal commencement being March 2025.
Council is seeking a self-motivated and dedicated person to work within the Visitor Information Centre team to contribute to the effective operation of the Centre, Museum and Gallery. The successful applicant must possess a high level of verbal communication skills and be able to provide excellent customer service to visitors to our Shire.
The minimum guaranteed part-time hours are detailed below and reflective of the visitor season.

Council is able to negotiate days of work and hours with the successful applicant, within reason, please note that this position will include weekend and evening work to facilitate Centre opening hours and night shows.

Mandatory Requirements
- Highly developed communication and organisational skills;
- Highly developed time management skills;
- Demonstrated experience in customer service in providing accurate and timely advice;
- Current Qld ‘C’ Class Drivers licence; and
- Current holder of a Suitability Card – Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian, or willing to obtain.
