It is with great sadness that Quilpie Shire Council Mayor and Councillors wish to inform the Quilpie Community of the passing of Vaughan Johnson OAM, former Quilpie Shire Councillor, State Member for Gregory and long-time community member, on Saturday 21 January 2023.
Council and Council staff convey their deepest sympathy to the Johnson Family on the loss of a devoted family man, country gentleman and loyal advocate to Quilpie and Western Queensland who will be missed by all who knew him.
May he rest in peace.
