Funding is available to provide direct assistance to those Queenslanders that need support to gain the qualifications and skills needed to enter and stay in the workforce.
During each round, departmental staff run information sessions for interested organisations. Your invitation to the Toowoomba information session can be found here. The session will highlight changes to the Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative including; Work Skills Traineeship and Youth Skills programs. At the end of the session there will be the opportunity to book an individual meeting with DET staff to discuss your organisation’s plans and programs.
Community-based not-for-profit organisations can apply for funding to start Skilling Queenslanders for Work projects in local communities across Queensland. Local councils and school Parents and Citizens’ and Parents and Friends’ associations are also able to apply for funding under some programs.
The second round of funding for 2017-18 opened on 20 July 2017 and will close at 5pm (AEST) on Thursday 14 September 2017.?
